Title:
As a fleet owner, I want to easily import all my assets attached to a given ELD provider so that I can quickly manage them in my garage.
Description:
Fleet owners often have numerous assets tracked via an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) provider. This feature allows users to import these assets into their garage seamlessly by connecting their ELD provider, entering the API key, and importing all the assets in a few clicks.
Acceptance Criteria:
ELD Provider Selection:
The user is presented with a list of supported ELD providers on the Import Assets page.
The user selects their ELD provider from the list.
API Key Input:
After selecting the ELD provider, the system prompts the user to enter their API key.
Include a tooltip or help icon to explain how to find the API key.
Validate the API key before proceeding:
If valid, proceed to the next step.
If invalid, show an error message: "Invalid API key. Please check and try again."
Asset Preview and Selection:
The system retrieves and displays a list of assets linked to the user’s ELD provider.
Each asset is displayed with key details (e.g., VIN, Make, Model, Year).
The user can select all or specific assets for import using checkboxes.
Import Confirmation:
After clicking the Import button, the system processes the selected assets.
Display a success message: "All selected assets have been successfully imported into your garage."
Redirect to Garage:
Automatically redirect the user to the Garage page after the assets are imported.
Error Handling:
If there’s an error during the API request, show an error message: "Unable to fetch assets. Please check your API key or try again later."
If the asset import fails, show a clear error message with retry options.
