This month was about tightening things up β better integrations, cleaner data, smarter filters, and a bunch of quality-of-life improvements that make listing, browsing, and buying equipment on Cherry Trader feel noticeably better.
We shipped three new ways for buyers and sellers to connect β email leads, Want-to-Buy requests, and scheduled video tours β alongside smarter filters, tighter inventory sync, and a long list of fixes that make the whole platform feel more polished.
Here's everything.
New
We onboarded four dealer integrations this sprint, which means more quality listings flowing into Cherry Trader automatically:
AllRoads β XML inventory feed with automated daily sync. Their catalog is now mapped to Cherry Trader's listing schema and stays current without anyone lifting a finger.
Advantage Dealer (vAuto) β FTP-based CSV feed that handles new, updated, and removed records automatically. List a truck in vAuto, it shows up on Cherry. Remove it, it's gone.
Thermo King of the Southeast β CSV-based inventory ingestion for their dealer account.
TNT Trailers β CSV import with listings created as drafts (without images) so the dealer can review before going live.
If you're a dealer running inventory through any of these systems, your equipment is now on Cherry Trader with zero double-entry.

You can now bold, italicize, and add lists to your listing descriptions β on both Web and Mobile. This might sound small, but it makes a real difference. Instead of a wall of plain text, you can call out key specs, highlight recent maintenance, or structure your description so buyers can scan it fast. A well-formatted listing builds trust and gets more inquiries. Use it.

Dynamic catalog filtering is here. Filters now adapt based on the category you're browsing β so when you're looking at reefers, you see reefer-relevant specs, not a generic list of every filter on the platform. This makes narrowing down equipment way faster, especially if you know exactly what you're after.
We also fixed several filter issues that were causing headaches: duplicate model values showing up in dropdowns, State and Region counters not updating after you filtered, and "Ask for Price" listings disappearing from the catalog entirely. Search by title in Listing Hub is working again too. All of these are the kind of small annoyances that add up β they're gone now.
Improved
We restructured the Single Listing Page to give buyers a clearer picture of what they're looking at and make it easier to take action. The layout is tighter, information hierarchy makes more sense, and contact CTAs are more prominent. The Comparison page got a similar treatment β redesigned so it's easier to see differences side by side and actually make a decision.
The goal: fewer people bouncing, more people reaching out.

Listing Hub on mobile got a real upgrade. You now have advanced search, filtering, sorting, and Fleet management support β all from your phone. Managing inventory from the road is actually practical now, not just technically possible.

Image rotation on upload β no more sideways photos of your Peterbilt. Rotate before publishing so your listing looks right from the start.
ZIP code field for vehicle location β buyers can see exactly where the equipment sits.
Rich text formatting for descriptions (same as Web β bold, italic, lists).
Filters in Listing Hub and Inventory management β consistent with what's available on desktop.
Improved OTP verification β clearer feedback so you're not guessing whether the code went through.

A big architectural win this sprint: Equipment and Listing entities are now unified into a single codebase. Previously, these were maintained separately even though they're functionally the same thing. Consolidating them means future features β like video uploads on inventory items or inventory-based auctions β are much easier to build. This is the kind of cleanup that pays dividends for months.

Upgraded the Chat Service with the latest packages for logging, async operations, and transaction management.
Built a new Equipment Service API β lighter, more intuitive, and purpose-built for the Catalog and Dealers pages.

Every new chat message now triggers an email notification to the recipient. If a buyer messages you about a listing and you're not in the app, you'll know about it. Previously the notification logic was inconsistent β now it's simple: new message, email sent. Fewer missed leads, faster responses.

Make/Model blacklist β we're now blocking "broken" or invalid make/model entries from being published. No more listings with gibberish in the model field cluttering up search results.
Series-only models blocked for Freightliner and Volvo (e.g., just "Cascadia" or "VNL" without the specific model). This improves search accuracy so filters actually return what you'd expect.
VIN required to publish β you can no longer publish a listing without a VIN number. Keeps the marketplace clean and trustworthy.
Cleaned up incorrectly imported listings from a Canton, Ohio dealer account in preparation for correct account assignment.

Building on last sprint's work, the sign-up flow now has field-level validation with inline error messages. Each field tells you exactly what's wrong as you fill it out β no more submitting a form and scrolling back up to figure out what failed.

Buyers can now contact sellers directly via email from any listing page. Not everyone wants to start a chat β sometimes you need to fire off a quick message with specs or a question and move on to the next load. The full flow is built out: buyers send, sellers receive, and every email lead is stored in the Seller Dashboard so you have a clean record of who reached out, when, and about what.
No more leads slipping through the cracks. If someone's interested in your equipment, you'll see it.

Can't find the right truck or trailer? Now you can submit a Want-to-Buy request and let sellers come to you. Instead of refreshing the catalog hoping the right Cascadia pops up, post what you're looking for β and get matched. This flips the marketplace dynamic and opens up a whole new lead channel for sellers with the right inventory sitting on their lot.

We've laid the foundation for scheduled video tours. Buyers can request a live video walkthrough of a listing, so you can check out a truck without burning a day driving across two states to kick the tires. This is just the beginning β the scheduling flow is live on Web, and we'll keep building on it.

Filters got another round of improvements this cycle. We extended catalog filters to match the Add Listing structure, which means the specs sellers enter when creating a listing are now the same specs buyers can filter by. No more mismatches between what's in the data and what you can search for.
We also added a new Homepage v2 filters endpoint and built logic to hide useless filters β if a filter only has one value or the range min and max are the same, it won't show up and clutter your screen. Less noise, faster decisions.
On the bug fix side: filters were showing technical values like IDs and internal types instead of readable names β that's fixed. The Year To range filter that couldn't be reset properly? Fixed. Filters alignment and usability on Web? Improved across the board.

Inventory items are now auto-created when you create a listing. Previously, listings and inventory could get out of sync β you'd have a live listing but no matching inventory record, or vice versa. We also ran a backfill process to patch up existing listings that were missing inventory entries. Going forward, what you list and what's in your inventory are always the same thing. One less thing to manage.
New Fixed
We expanded notifications with three new categories: Sign-In & Security alerts, Want-to-Buy notifications, and Advertising page notifications. Push notifications now support deep linking β tap a notification and it opens the specific listing, not just the app's home screen. That's the difference between "something happened" and "here's exactly what happened, go deal with it."
Also fixed: notification emails were missing usernames. Now they include who the message is from, so you're not opening mystery emails.
Improved Fixed
The Home Page, Browse, Filters, and Search flows on mobile have been updated to match the Web structure. If you've been switching between your phone and desktop and feeling like they're two different apps β that gap is closing fast. Listing flows, VIN pop-ups, and the Comparison page all behave consistently now across platforms.
New on mobile: business account creation from the inventory landing page and seller info is hidden for unauthenticated users (so tire-kickers can't scrape your contact details without signing up).
iOS fixes: Video uploads were a pain point β we fixed size validation, sound playback, upload order, and duration limits. Also fixed the Model filter not applying correctly, descriptions not transferring from asset to listing, font sizes being too small on the listing page, and the "Ask for Price" label disappearing on scroll.
Android fixes: Sellers page UI inconsistencies, sorting issues, unauthorized access to finance/insurance flows (locked down now), and Listing Hub filtering/search inconsistencies.

Fleet selector in Add Listing β if you manage multiple fleets under one account, you can now choose which fleet a listing belongs to right when you create it.
Promotional landing page launched for special offers.
VIN pop-ups improved β clearer messaging for "Not Found" and "Already Exists" scenarios instead of cryptic error codes.
Sticky elements fixed β modals no longer fight with sticky headers and navigation.
Listing page UX β initial improvements shipped as part of an ongoing redesign focused on conversion. More coming.
Bug fixes: couldn't change address when editing a listing (fixed), empty description blocks showing after deletion (fixed), Favorites view resetting when clearing filters (fixed), "Open listing" from chat generating a broken URL (fixed), $0 price displaying when "Ask for Price" was set (fixed), contact page showing an outdated phone number (fixed), and image rotation now handled locally before save.

Pliler International is now integrated with draft import support. Their inventory flows into Cherry Trader as draft listings, giving the dealer a chance to review and publish on their terms.

This sprint was all about making Cherry Trader faster, more stable, and better equipped to handle growth. We overhauled our search infrastructure, added video to listings, onboarded new dealer integrations, and squashed a pile of bugs across every platform. Here's the full rundown.
New
You can now upload video directly to your listings. Walk-arounds, engine starts, interior tours β whatever helps a buyer trust what they're looking at. Video appears right inside the media gallery alongside your photos, so everything lives in one place.
This was a big cross-team effort. We built out full backend validation (format, file size, duration), updated storage handling, and made sure the experience works the same on Web and Mobile. No more linking out to YouTube or texting a video separately β it's all right there on the listing.

We did a major overhaul of our search infrastructure under the hood, and you'll feel the difference immediately.
Listings Hub and My Inventory now both support advanced filtering β powered by a rebuilt ElasticSearch layer. What does that mean for you? Filtering by VIN, status, ownership, and other criteria is faster, more accurate, and doesn't lose your selections when you navigate around. If you manage a large inventory, this is night and day. Previously, searching through hundreds of units felt sluggish and filters could behave inconsistently. Now the queries are optimized, indexing is smarter, and filter states actually stick.

Subcategory pages load noticeably faster now. We cut unnecessary API calls during navigation, optimized frontend rendering, and reduced the layout shift you'd sometimes see when switching between categories. Pages feel snappier, and our Google PageSpeed and Lighthouse scores improved β which means Cherry Trader listings are more likely to show up when someone searches for equipment online. Good for SEO, good for sellers.

We made a major backend stability upgrade this sprint. Our services used to be tightly coupled β meaning if one thing went down, it could take other things with it. We've decoupled services, introduced shared middleware via Redis, refactored how our systems talk to each other, and improved fault isolation. The result: fewer cascading failures, better behaviour during traffic spikes, and more stable background job processing.
We also standardized logging and configuration handling across services, which helps us catch and fix issues faster when they do come up. You probably won't notice this directly β but you'll notice fewer random errors and smoother performance across the board.

For dealers using Cherry Trader embeds on their own websites: we fixed multiple issues with iFrame integrations. Form submissions, validation handling, error rendering, and data passing between the iFrame and platform are all more reliable now. If you had embed hiccups before, they should be resolved.

iOS β Fixed an issue where listings couldn't be opened from dealer pages (yes, again β this time we dug deeper into the navigation stack). Improved error handling on API failures, media loading, session persistence, and crash stability on spotty connections. When you're browsing inventory from a truck stop with one bar of signal, the app holds up better now.
Android β Fixed navigation bugs, listing open failures in edge cases, and search field reset behaviour. Improved RecyclerView performance in the listings scroll (less jank, smoother scrolling through long lists), better filter state retention, smarter API timeout handling, and improved memory management in the listing gallery.

We've been under the hood making Cherry Trader faster, smarter, and easier to use β whether you're buying your next rig, listing a trailer, or bidding on an auction from your phone between loads. Here's everything that shipped.
New Improved
Auctions are fully live on iOS and Android. You can now bid, watch, and win equipment directly from the Cherry Trader app β no need to pull over and crack open a laptop. The bidding flows, auction states, and experience match what you'd get on the web, so nothing feels off.
We also tightened up the backend:
Payment recovery is now automatic. If something hiccups during checkout after an auction closes, the system handles it β no more chasing down a failed transaction.
Proxy bidding works the way it should. Previously, auto-bids with multi-step increments could behave unpredictably. That's fixed. Set your max bid and let Cherry do the rest.
Invoices are sent automatically. After a successful auction payment, buyers get a proper invoice right away β no waiting, no manual requests.

We've launched an integrated Finance & Insurance module β on both Web and Mobile. Whether you're financing a sleeper cab or bundling insurance on a reefer, you can now explore your options right inside Cherry Trader. The flows are consistent across platforms, so you'll see the same clear options whether you're on desktop or tapping through on your phone.

Also: when a seller gets a call through Cherry, the caller ID now shows "Cherry Trader" instead of some random city name via Twilio. Small detail, big trust signal β you know exactly who's calling.

This one's for everyone who's been frustrated trying to narrow down listings. We completely reworked how catalogue filters display. Before, you had to scroll inside a tiny dropdown just to see all the makes or categories β a scroll-within-a-scroll situation that made finding what you need way harder than it should be. That double-scroll is gone. Now, all available filter options are fully visible and accessible without fighting the UI.
Here's what else changed:
Category icons on the homepage now include Dry Vans and Reefers β click any icon and it takes you straight to a filtered catalogue view. No extra steps.
Smart filtering by category. Select "Trailers" and you'll only see relevant subcategories and makes β not the entire database. It's faster and makes a lot more sense.
Models are mapped correctly under Dry Van, Reefer, and Flatbed so you can filter down to exactly what you're looking for.
Dynamic ordering. Subcategories and makes are sorted by relevance and listing count, so the stuff people actually search for floats to the top.
Better filter visibility across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.

CMR Page no longer requires a Model. If model data is missing, you can still get a Cherry Market Rate valuation. This removes a real friction point for sellers who want a quick estimate without filling out every field.
Admins can now tag categories on the CMR page for easier mapping and better data accuracy.

This ensures consistent visibility and profile behavior across all platforms, making it easier for users to manage their listings and account settings on the go.
Weβve introduced the first version of the Cherry Blog β a new space to share industry insights, platform updates, and educational content. The initial set of articles will be published as part of our marketing strategy in collaboration with the content team.
To help users stay informed about platform updates, weβve pre-checked the newsletter subscription option on the sign-up form. Users can still opt out anytime, but this improvement ensures more people receive important updates, price changes, and new listing notifications.
Weβve refined how search filters work in the catalog. Now, filters dynamically adjust to show only the available data ranges for parameters like Year, Odometer, and Price.
This prevents users from selecting filter combinations that return empty results, improving search efficiency and overall user experience.
The sign-up process now includes a short question asking whether a user is interested in buying, selling, or both. This data is stored in our system and helps us personalize user experience and future communication. This improvement simplifies onboarding while providing valuable segmentation data for marketing and support.

Numbers now follow a clear and consistent format β e.g., (708) 328-3341 β and include a clickable phone icon for quick access.
Additionally, weβve added a small βPowered by Cherry Traderβ label to reinforce brand visibility on embedded listing frames. This enhancement ensures a professional, unified look across web and partner integrations.

Weβve refined the Add Listing workflow to make it more flexible and aligned with customer needs.
This update was initiated after feedback from a customer managing over 130 construction listings, where VIN numbers were often unavailable.
Now, the Category field appears first when adding a listing. When users select the Construction category, the VIN number field becomes optional.
